Look back and smile…

In Journal, Jun E Caniel Conversation Series, Love, Motivational Speaking on December 13, 2013 at 5:55 pm

The next time someone Mediocre gives you advice… Smile! In life people are either thermostats Jay Caniel or thermometers. One merely checks the temperature… While the select few of us regulate the temperature. You see when you’re living in your purpose and creating it’s all new. Don’t expect the rats to see the unseen…  After all, they can’t even see their own cheese… hmmm…  What makes you think they will see your grand, unrevealed greatness?… It’s like asking someone who can’t swim for advice about jumping into the ocean… Just do it! You will experience what it means to be living! You will end up looking back at the cliff where they all stand looking over the edge, watching you… Just smile and say, “Jun E!”

Baseball Season is here ladies and gents! Time to grab those baseball caps, throw on a quarter sleeve tee and head out to the field. It’s time to play ball. The fashionable way!!!  I wouldn’t be surprised if most of my readers come from a sports oriented family. I recently just became apart of a family that has a strong love for basketball. (Even though I’m not there yet! I still support) So, now its time for the football fans to move over and make room for the baseball crowd!

……Or……

If you’re anything like me, you refuse to play the game, and decide to sit and watch from afar, drifting off into your own little world.  Leave it to Jun E Caniel to get me excited about baseball, even if my focus is more so on what to wear to a game, than the game itself.  This week I present to you……

Jun E Caniel baseball tees! An oldie but a goody! A lot of the shoppers at Jun E Caniel love the baseball tees. They were made for both women and men; with the same colors and style.  The front features the Jun E Lion and the back has the company name and the number “22″ printed on the back.  Twenty-two is a number that holds a lot of significance to the founders of Jun E Caniel.  If you want to know more about it, you gotta ask them! :-)  Every design has meaning and is created with great intentionality.

I personally enjoy the way the shirt falls on my body. It’s the perfect length for my long carefree arms and lands at a perfect place on my long torso. Its a little weird (and weird is good) because you would think that each shirt was particularly for one person/ body type. But No, no matter the person the shirt looks great on!

Plus it has that feature of many baseball tees, light and COM-FORT-ABLE

Its a Jun E tee, what would you expect!? Everything made by them feels amazing! Ask around!

Africa Unite

In Culture, Design, ECO-Friendly, Fashion, JUN E LOVE, Love, Motivational Speaking, T-Shirts on March 1, 2013 at 8:44 pm

They are finally here! Jun E Caniel’s spring collection of limited edition t-shirts. The one featured here today is called Africa Unite. Many of us who are a part of the Jun E family are Bob Marley lovers, and it is my assumption that this is the reason behind the title and inspiration for this shirt design…..But we never know what’s running through the mind of co-owner/designer Legend. She’s always full of surprises and as a fan of her art work I love it.

In my opinion, this collection of designs is personal. If you ever seen previous designs from Jun E Caniel, in my opinion they aren’t as awesome as these. Yes, I am picking favorites hahaha.  When I saw the sketches being transformed from paper, to Adobe, and then to actually being on a shirt, all I could say was “Wow”.  Legend is really talented and I’m so glad that the outside world will be able to embrace this part of her and look good while doing it.

Here are a few pictures of me sporting Africa Unite. Today, was a very laid back day in the House of Jun E Caniel and that’s exactly the vibe that’s being portrayed in this photos, but do not get discouraged hahaha AJ Styles will be back soon!

Jun E! Life without OBSTACLES

In Art, Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Love, Motivational Speaking on September 24, 2012 at 7:18 pm

What if the word “obstacle” did not exist in our language? How would that alter your life? I wonder if you would be in the same job? Would you live in the same state or country? Would you hang around the same people? Who would you be if obstacles did not exist? What dreams and goals would you have accomplished if there were no such thing as obstacles? Would you be afraid to live the life of your dreams?

To the average person an obstacle is defined as something that blocks one’s way or prevents or hinders progress.  In Jun E Land, obstacles only exist on an actual obstacle course.  They are used as a means to help people get in better physical shape.  We do not use the word “obstacle” to describe the inevitable complications that come up in life.  They are merely problems to be solved and worked through along the road to our bliss.

So much is put in place to make us believe in such poppy cock as obstacles.   It’s almost like people pay others to plant these seeds in the minds of the masses to keep people afraid and unable to work through problems.  The key is to change your vocabulary, which will result in changing your mindset.  Words are not powerful! We are powerful! And we are powerful enough to give words meaning by believing in them.  When was the last time a word came up to you and corrected you? Not happening…YOU put words in their place.  Make them yield to you.  Delete and add words from your vocabulary at will, and give them the meaning you want them to have.

It’s your life and after last time we checked you are not promised a second. Do not let a little thing like a word stop you from living life to its fullest.  Live and create the life you want.  An “obstacle” can only hinder you or stop your progress if you allow it.  Bottom line: An obstacle only exists in your mind.  It only stops you if that is what you believe it will do.

Don’t let anyone or anything dictate who you are and what you do. So what exactly is an obstacle to you?  Be Jun E! Be Great!  See you at the Top (if you allow yourself to make it that far)!

A Question of Purpose

In Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Journal, Love, Motivational Speaking, Thoughts on June 5, 2012 at 5:36 pm

We come into the world bamboozled by the pressures of family, the media, and rhetoric from politicians. There is a certain standard set for each of our lives. The question is who sets these lofty standards? So most go on like a robot chasing things that in the end turn out to be unimportant. Things such as job titles, money, cars, houses, social statuses, etc. The list actually can go on for days. But how many of us really know our purpose? How many of us really know what we are designed to do? Is your legacy 20 years at a “job” and a ” retirement check”? Is your legacy yours? Is it something you were ever really interested in? Or is it something your friends, family or media told you was cool? Did you do it because you never wanted to struggle in life? Did you do it because you could possibly have control over people? Were you the kid who got picked on and you wanted to get back at others? OK, I will stop badgering you with questions most don’t want to answer. I guess we should be writing about the “House wives of _____” (you fill in the blank). Then maybe you would take more of an interest.

We are designed for a specific purpose. Deep down inside everyone of us lies a huge entity waiting to be UNLEASHED!  As I sat around this morning my mind was consumed with these thoughts. Sometimes we have to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life and think. At Jun E Caniel we choose to focus on things that help us live.  An inspirational word, thought provoking questions, inspiring designs, empowering messages, and volunteering just to name a few. Don’t settle for a job, title, or career. Find your purpose in life and help others do the same. There is something out there bigger for all of us! We love you!

Ways That You Can Be Jun E!

In Art, Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Love, Motivational Speaking, T-Shirts, Thoughts on June 3, 2012 at 5:05 pm

  • Live Your Own Life
There is nothing remarkable about someone who is constantly trying to be like other people. Be yourself and be the best you that you can possibly be.
  • Be Authentic
Mean the things you say and do. Authenticity is not very common these days but when it is there, it shines through your words and actions and is very powerful for creating bonds with others.
  • Come Up With Your Own Sayings
Come up with your own quirky and original sayings. People will take notice and it may even catch on. I. E Jun E!
  •  Leave Others Better Than You Found Them
Make it a habit to leave people in a better state then you found them. Happier, healthier, stronger, wealthier. This is a major way of being remarkable.
  • Help People Without Wanting Anything In Return
Volunteer to help other people out. Give some of your time, money or resources to help a fellow human being and expect absolutely nothing in return.
  • Don’t Try To Be Perfect
Be creative and abstract instead of trying to live up to other people’s expectation of perfect. You can achieve great and beautiful things without them living up to the general consensus of perfect.
  • Face Your Fears
People who avoid things because they are scared will never be remarkable. Face your fears and conquer them. Do you think Lance Armstrong would have been remarkable if he had given up cycling after he had cancer?
  • Take The Plunge
Be that person who does what others won’t do. If others are too scared to attempt something that you are not scared to do, just go out and do it with all your passion and energy.
  • Question The Norm
Just because something is done by millions of people around the world in a certain way does not mean it is the right or the only way to do something. Question the norm and don’t be afraid to do something differently.
  • Expose Yourself
Get up on stage or in front of people. Risk putting your ideas and creativity out in public, available for criticism and humiliation. What if Jay Z would have been to scared to perform in public and kept all his talent and art to himself in his basement?
  • Start Your Own Tribe
Be a leader instead of a follower. Build up a community or tribe of like minded people who will follow you and use your power to make a difference for the better in this world.
  • Say NO To Things
If something goes against your principles or you don’t really want it, say NO. You might risk offending some people, but most will respect you for having strong boundaries and sticking to them.
  • You Are Enough
Have the mindset that you have all the assets to be remarkable. You have talent and you have a gift. Share it with the world.
  • Be Optimistic
Optimism and smiles are contagious. Make the world a happy and positive place.
  • Be confident
Know what you want and be confident that you are going to get it. I think that all remarkable people share the trait of confidence.
  • Be Humble
Arrogance and vanity are not traits to associate with people you respect and think highly of. No matter how good, famous or wealthy you are, stay humble with both feet on the ground.
  • Create something that brings joy to other peoples lives
Art, a painting, a video clip, a film, a song, a poem, a book and so on and so forth. Be artistic and express your talent in a form that it can be shared with everyone without the expectation of getting rich from it. It’s your gift to the world.
  • Invent something that everyone needs
The disposable razor or a cigarette lighter for example. There could be one little thing that seems so simple yet will make the lives of millions of people so much easier.
  • Take something that works and make it better
The Japanese are pretty good at this. They took a normal train and change it into the fastest train in the world (bullet train). Take a normal and existing concept and make an exceptional change to it.
  • Start a movement
People look for a leader, someone who takes charge and takes initiative. Someone who has good intentions and wants to make a big change for the better. Be that leader and start a movement to change something that is not right in this world.
  • Fight for peace and freedom
All around the world there is so much unnecessary war and suffering. It seems impossible for one person to make a difference, but if everyone thinks like that, things will never change. Stop a war or change violent policies of a country and you will be remarkable.
  • Preserve our planet
Rainforests are being destroyed, species wiped out, oceans overfished and beautiful ecosystems perish. Make a difference and start a movement to do something about the destruction of our planet.
  • Help the hungry
There are so many people dying of hunger all around the world every single day. Do something to make a lasting difference. One idea I had was to get every person travelling on a plane to forfeit their meal for the hungry. A combined effort by all passengers would result in thousands of meals a day that could be given to hungry people all across the world.
  • Push the limits (break a record)
If you can do something that nobody else has been able to achieve, then you will not only get noticed but you will certainly be remarkable. You may just be the psychological inspiration for many others to get past the level that was always thought of as unbreakable.
  • Revolutionize an industry
Waltz into an industry or niche with a great idea or new perspective and put that idea in motion. If you can improve or revolutionize the way an entire industry does something then you are pretty remarkable.
  • Tell Compelling Stories
Stories are an amazing way to share knowledge and experiences with others. If you know how to create compelling and fun stories, you can make a big impact on the lives of others. That’s remarkable.
  • Think Better
Be a step ahead of everyone else. Think faster, better or more efficiently.
  • Read More Interesting Things
The more you read, the more you shape your personality. The more interesting things that you read, the more likely you are to become an interesting (and remarkable) person.
  • Don’t Be Boring
One requirement of being remarkable is that you are not boring. Be original, fun and get things done.
  • Stop Making Excuses
Either do something or don’t do it at all. Don’t be someone who always has excuses to stall doing something or justify why you didn’t do something.
  • Never Settle For Average
Never be content with average or mediocrity. When other people give up and settle, carry on going and be better than them.
  • Do What You Say
If people can rely on you and they know that when you say something that you will do it, you are well on your way to being remarkable. If you make a promise, keep it.
  • Don’t Aim To Be Remarkable
As contradictory as it sounds, most remarkable people never set out to be remarkable. They did what they loved and were really passionate and that is what got them to being remarkable.
  • Gimmicks Fade
What’s fashionable soon becomes unfashionable. While you might be remarkable for a time, if you don’t reinvest and reinvent, you won’t be for long. Instead of resting on your laurels, you must commit to being remarkable again quite soon.
