Thinking Jun E!

In Thoughts on October 13, 2010 at 5:34 am

You ever wonder why we were created? I’m sure many of you do. We were created to be Jun E! That means “great” for the people who don’t know. Every life has a purpose, reason, and legacy to fill. We are all legends under the sun. At Jun E Caniel we believe that everyone has a lion within them, just waiting to be unleashed.  Everyone has one direction in which all space is open to them. I like how Emerson puts it, saying we are like a ship in a river; we run against obstructions on every side but one; on that side all obstruction is taken away, and we sweep serenely over a deepening channel into an infinite sea.  You see every man has this call of the power to do something unique, and no one has any other call.  We encourage you to unfold yourself to the world. Make your mark in this life. Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.

  1. Under the dermal layer
    bone & marrow
    beneath the organs
    embedded inside the rib-CAGE
    there the Lion resides
    waiting with crushing claws,
silencing bite & a muting roar
    There the inner champion rests
    waiting to be awakened,
    unleashed, loosed upon existence
    waiting to be Jun E!

    • I love it! Thinking Jun E, feeling Jun E, acting Jun E etc. I wonder if people get it? I wonder if they really know that there is a inner champion that rest within them waiting to be awakened ? I wonder why they are afraid to roar? I wonder why they are afraid to attack life with a reckless abandon? Why are they afraid to stay hungry and foolish? Why

      • Stepping out is very hard, especially when you are taught from birth to conform with the “norm”. People get caught up in a false sense of security and comfort. They become content with being mediocre, “stable”, “sensible”, not good enough, etc. So much of it has to do with self image. If people invested more time in themselves, they would be more aware of their LION and spend more time nurturing it, instead of sedating it. Investing in one’s self is key because once you do, you begin to see yourself for who you really are… a powerful, capable, and irreplaceable being.
