Promises to keep Vol 2

In Thoughts on December 13, 2010 at 5:38 pm

I’m traveling on 95, thinking about life. Life is very interesting, depends on your perspective. It’s interesting the impact that our environment has on us. It’s interesting the impact your thoughts have on you. It’s interesting how something as simple as knowing yourself is one of the keys to life. Life!  I’ve discovered that although we are all walking and breathing, we are not all living. Well here are a few more promises  to keep  in order to live a Jun E life.

Promise yourself to be strong that nothing disturb your peace of mind.

Promise to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own

Promise yourself to live every minute like it was your last

Promise to give so much time to improve yourself that you don’t have time to criticize others

Promise to forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievement in the future.

Be Jun E!

  1. I enjoy your resilient optimism. I think you may just be more optimistic than I am. I am of the mind at this point that I am losing an optimism about cowards and ducklings, primarily because although they are the most impressionable types of people, some people are as a professor of mine put it B.I.’s. A B.I. is a belligerently ignorant person. That is a person who knows that they are wrong and knows their methodology of thinking is lackluster and poor but continues to think that way because they have chosen to be incapable to change. It is in that mindset that change for the better is incapable and it only leaves one with the option of elimination because there is little else one can do for these types of people.

  2. I agree that the mindset of a person dictates if they are capable of change. A wise man once said, “There is only one way to get anybody to do anything.” “By making the other person want to do it.” People have to intrinsically want to be the best, however people tend to get caught up on blaming others and making excuses for themselves. (Problem) When you blame others you are trying to excuse yourself. When you make excuses you cannot properly evaluate yourself. Without proper self evaluation, failure is inevitable. Ayo, I remain an optimist till the end, however we must keep in mind that life has an natural order. Their are ducks, lions, eagles etc. We need all of them to complete the circle of life. We must also look at the facts, a duck will never become an eagle. So for the ducks you make them the best duck you can. For the eagles you teach them how to soar, and for the Jun E Lions, we teach them to unleash what’s in them.
