From time to time I hear people talk about their jobs, bosses and other people around who affect their day to day lives. It is ludicrous to think that someone else has power over you. The only way this is possible is if you give them permission to rule you. Your mind is the one thing that cannot be controlled by anyone but you. The thoughts you think, your attitude toward your job, and what you are willing to give in exchange for the compensation you are paid are entirely up to you. The choice is yours if you decide to be a slave to a negative attitude or the master of a positive one. Your attitude, your only boss, or master in life, is entirely within your control! When you control your thoughts, you essentially determine your destiny. You will never go higher than your thoughts. Remember a positive mental attitude is the first step of being wealthy. The “Real Boss” is you!

The way to begin your dreams is to begin. This may sound simple and foolish, however hundreds of thousands of people in this country have dreams they never obtain. The reason is they don’t have the guts to begin. The world can seem scary when it comes to living our dreams. Dreaming is a game of “put and take”, you cant “take out” until you “put in.” People often put off their dreams because they cannot see clearly ahead. Many go to friends and family for advice. It is normal for people, when advising friends, to be super-conservative. Stop asking people who have never achieved anything great in their lives to advise you on your great endeavors. You see, people see things through their own experiences. So essentially they will be giving you advice based on their own capacity. Think of it this way, someone laughed at the Wright Brothers when they said they wanted to fly over water. People told Benjamin Franklin he could never make it in the printing press. They even told Oprah that her nose was too wide, she was too fat, her hair was too short, and her eyes were too far apart to be successful in her field. It’s not what they tell you, its what you accept!
It’s not necessary that you see the harbor at the end of your course before sailing. If you sail straight, and keep moving you will get to your destination! But first you must start! Begin to be Jun E.

One of the great mysteries of life is why some people who seem to have all the advantages, the right connections, education, and experiences never seem to amount to much while others who have had to struggle for everything, have managed to reach incredible heights of success. Is it determination? If you have the will to succeed, and the fortitude to follow through on your dreams, you will find a way to be successful regardless of the obstacles you encounter.
Do you use all of your assets to achieve your goals, or you handicapped by your lack of ambition? You are responsible for creating your desire to be successful. With the right motivation, and desire you will see things all around you that will help you reach your objectives, things that you may have overlooked many times before.

I must admit it is a hobby of mine to talk to strangers. I believe we have so much to learn from the people who are around us on a daily basis. Every person have the capacity of greatness within them. For some reason we choose to neglect them if they don’t have a title or some sort of status. I have experienced this in every job that I have had thus far. I am reminded of a time when I coached college basketball. On a bus trip the bus driver asked the Head coach a question about a destination. The head coach turned to another coach and asked, “Why is he talking to me”? It’s amazing to me when people get a false sense of security based on a title they were given. The irony in the story is the bus driver was far more educated than the Head Coach, and had a larger grasp of the world. You never know when you have the opportunity to learn something valuable, or even help someone out. I love people!
Ultimately we all want the same thing, to be happy, to feel loved, to give love, and experience success. In order to do great things, you will need people around you to help you accomplish them. None of us came into the world fully formed. Where did you learn how to think? How did you learn how to walk, talk or speak? How did you learn etiquette? It is a fact that our very existence as human beings depend on other human beings. We need other human beings in order to be human. People are far more than their appearance, degree’s on a wall, or even a title on a desk. People are Jun E! All people have the capacity to be great, its just a matter of taping into it. Knowing yourself is the first step in this process, then loving yourself. I am because other people are!

As human beings we all have the natural desire to be happy and the wish to overcome suffering. The mind is the most powerful muscle in our bodies. What is your mind filled with? Is your mind filled with where you are going? Or is it filled with thoughts of where you have been? Be assured that people always move in the direction of their mind. Whatever your mind is full of, that is where you eventually move. We ultimately become what we think. Train yourself to focus on where you are going. You can do this by creating personal commercials, vision boards, think boards, and even just posting positive quotes around your house or office. We must consume ourselves with pleasurable thoughts of the things that we want, versus the fear and pain of the things we don’t want. Move your mind away from the pain of the past, into the prosperity 0f the future. Be Jun E! Unleash The Lion Within!

If it’s true that you become what you think about most, it follows that the quantity of success you achieve in your life will be in direct proportion to the size of your thoughts. If you allow your mind to be dominated by trivial matters, your achievements are likely to be unimportant. Discipline yourself to think about important things. Keep up with what’s new in your field and with whats going on in the world. Make a list of good ideas that you can use anytime you are searching for a creative solution to a problem. Remember, small minds think about things; Great minds think about ideas

As I look back over the last 12 years all I can say is Jun E! I’m never content, however I find myself basking in the moments and the memories over the past 12 years. We were kids, and quite frankly we will remain that way forever. You have been my best friend through all my changes, mistakes, and growth. Whatever the storm, you have been there to calm me. When friends and family decided to walk out, you walked in. When the world told me I was crazy, you told me I was sane. You were there through all the blood sweat and tears of fighting with my past, my appetite to be the best, my visions to dramatically improve humanity, and in my feat to overcome all obstacles. People call you Legend, because thats what you are! You are powerful enough to change this world all by yourself. Your thoughts strong enough to create and maintain a global entity of Jun E Caniel. Our first son! What a beautiful birth the day we committed to this outlandish dream. It’s been that way ever since we met. I look forward to us branding the world with our inffectious personalities, improving humanity, and growing younger together forever! Thank you for being my bestfriend and life partner. I look forward to Nazir, Cadance, and Marley.

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again.
The word walk is descended from the Old English wealcon “to roll”. In human and other bipeds, walking is generally distinguished from running in that only one foot at a time leaves contact with the ground and there is a period of double-support. Yesterday I did something I haven’t done in a while. I walked 5 miles home, with my suit in my hand, and back pack on my shoulders. It reminded me of my childhood, which was filled with long walks. Looking back I had no concept of miles, and no feeling in my feet. I remember running around barefooted, with my one pair of jeans at that time. It brought back memories of the terrain of St Thomas. Back then walking up an alley was no guarantee you were going to live when you got to the end. Life was a little tougher for us back then.
Now I walk because I want to. I walk because I’m free. I walk to remind my feet that they are not to good for it. I walk for the people who have no feet. I walk for the people who don’t have anything to eat. I walk with confidence, knowing I will make it to the end! Life is nothing but a long walk. I was reminded of one of my favorite songs, “Its not an Easy road”, by Buju Ba
nton. In life when your tired, keep walking. Success is often right around the corner from giving up. When your feet start hurting and your shoulders get tight, think about the people who no long have the opportunity to walk on earth. Walk!
