3 Tips of Success: give three main tips for success:

1. Be yourself, the world worships the original.

2. Stay mentally strong by reading books & listening to audio books that motivate and feed you

3. Get a picture, a vision in your head of exactly what you want out of life and go after it.

Why You Have To Be Crazy to Win Big (Elite Daily)

In Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Journal, Motivational Speaking, T-Shirts, Thoughts on June 14, 2012 at 4:05 pm

You absolutely must be crazy. Crazy enough to believe you can amass a worth of tens of billions of dollars while helping millions of people along the way. Transforming your daydreams from delusions of grandeur to an insane reality requires that the world casts you out as the crazy one.

Our society aims to categorize the misfits, outcasts, trouble makers, and loud talkers, and label their potential greatness as craziness. The individuals that do not belong in the confines of normalcy should not be awarded or motivated to take their unique qualities to create some kind of greatness  Society awards those who stay within the boundaries with smiley face stickers as children and corporate bonuses as adults. As a child conforming to the standards of academic diligence in elementary school, you’re well on your path to obtaining good grades in high school to get into a “good” college, only to ensure that you’re the best and brightest in your field and can easily fill a predetermined role for the rest of your life.

The crazy misfits are the genius individuals who change our world simply because of the fact that they believe in themselves. Don’t respect the status quo. The Elite have grown tiresome of constantly being rational. It’s time to bet on my success, despite the odds. It’s time to politely ignore those who dissuade me (even though they will use perfectly sound logic and rational thinking to argue against me). It’s time to develop effective action plans and see them through as if my life depended on it. Even if I don’t make it through to the successful side, I will have infused my life with purpose and can know for the rest of my life that I gave it my all.

Don’t fear change. Often times the path of life that is created by cultural standards sets a rigid set of limitations on individuals. Any one who dares step outside the lines of the status quo is branded as being crazy or an outcast. This labeling could not be any farther from the truth physically, verbally, or psychologically. The fear that those have for anyone who is unlike the rest brings about a great deal of abuse. For the purposes of this post, let’s define crazy as someone who possesses, for better or for worse, a view of themselves and the world that doesn’t stay true to reality, as objectively measured by statistics and probabilities.

So the craziness I am referring to in the scope of personal development is believing that you will succeed even when every rational statistician would bet against you. Craziness is when your odds are 1/1,000,000, but you choose to fight for what you want anyway – when you’ve failed 999 times before, but you believe that attempt #1,000 will be the one that changes your life.  Whether your goal is to find true love, start a successful company, or change the world, those who are insistent on being “real,” “rational,” or “correct” are the ones who are dooming themselves to fail from the start.

Could you imagine if every guy were given the exact odds that they’ll meet someone who is perfect for them? It would simply dissuade and discourage, rather than help. I know of many friends who prefer to think along the lines of, “destiny will bring me the person that is right for me, so I must keep looking.” Even though that attitude isn’t grounded in science or realistic probabilities, it is that kind of attitude that often keeps the hopeful person in the game for much longer than any rational person would. And staying in the game is the only way you will ever meet the right person. Furthermore, this idea leads to an interesting conclusion:

A belief grounded in non-reality can oftentimes be the reason you achieve real results when “rational” people don’t even bother because the odds are so low. Change is only accomplished by maintaining a crazy view of the world – and the ability to succeed in it – and by being able to wake up every day with enough hope to get themselves through to the next day.

Imagine an entrepreneur woke up every morning and reviewed the failure rate of all start-up businesses in his industry. Imagine a war hero woke up every morning and reviewed how many comrades have died in the war he was fighting, and his own chances for survival. These reality checks are just not conducive to fighting the good fight. And they never will be as long as we are emotional creatures that rely on fact.

You have two choices you can make in any endeavor. The first is to be realistic, rational, and honest with yourself and choose to not pursue it (or at least limit how much time you spend on it) because you don’t have what it takes to see it through.  The other choice is to pursue it with such ferocity and fire, and believe that you have what it takes to become the best in the world. Most of your choices should be the former – no one in the world has the time or the ability to pursue everything with such passion and drive. But it becomes an issue when you don’t apply the latter to any of your goals.

Stop reading right now, and ask yourself: Which endeavor in my life am I going to pursue with a crazy, unmitigated ferocity? And can I promise myself that I will work at it until I’m the best in the world? Have you identified a goal or endeavor that is important enough to you to meet the requirements in the question above? If not, some soul searching will do you good. Life is less enjoyable without purpose behind your actions.  If you identified a goal that’s immensely valuable to you, take it from Will Smith: Being realistic is the surest route to mediocrity. So be unrealistic. Be irrational, and even be slightly crazy. It’s those slightly distorted beliefs about your ability to succeed that will push you past the horribly discouraging failure and lack of results that all high-achievers experience until you break through to the successful side. Just link that crazy attitude with a solid plan and a worthwhile purpose and you’re ready to go.

It’s not as simple as saying you are going to dominate a market and become a global leader. You have to anticipate demand and have exquisite timing. You will be battling uphill to establish the product and grow the business. Above all else, you need conviction, and that conviction, combined with the audacity to take on the world, will lead some to conclude that you’re crazy. And hopefully you are.

A Question of Purpose

In Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Journal, Love, Motivational Speaking, Thoughts on June 5, 2012 at 5:36 pm

We come into the world bamboozled by the pressures of family, the media, and rhetoric from politicians. There is a certain standard set for each of our lives. The question is who sets these lofty standards? So most go on like a robot chasing things that in the end turn out to be unimportant. Things such as job titles, money, cars, houses, social statuses, etc. The list actually can go on for days. But how many of us really know our purpose? How many of us really know what we are designed to do? Is your legacy 20 years at a “job” and a ” retirement check”? Is your legacy yours? Is it something you were ever really interested in? Or is it something your friends, family or media told you was cool? Did you do it because you never wanted to struggle in life? Did you do it because you could possibly have control over people? Were you the kid who got picked on and you wanted to get back at others? OK, I will stop badgering you with questions most don’t want to answer. I guess we should be writing about the “House wives of _____” (you fill in the blank). Then maybe you would take more of an interest.

We are designed for a specific purpose. Deep down inside everyone of us lies a huge entity waiting to be UNLEASHED!  As I sat around this morning my mind was consumed with these thoughts. Sometimes we have to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life and think. At Jun E Caniel we choose to focus on things that help us live.  An inspirational word, thought provoking questions, inspiring designs, empowering messages, and volunteering just to name a few. Don’t settle for a job, title, or career. Find your purpose in life and help others do the same. There is something out there bigger for all of us! We love you!

Ways That You Can Be Jun E!

In Art, Business, Culture, Daily Inspiration, Love, Motivational Speaking, T-Shirts, Thoughts on June 3, 2012 at 5:05 pm

  • Live Your Own Life
There is nothing remarkable about someone who is constantly trying to be like other people. Be yourself and be the best you that you can possibly be.
  • Be Authentic
Mean the things you say and do. Authenticity is not very common these days but when it is there, it shines through your words and actions and is very powerful for creating bonds with others.
  • Come Up With Your Own Sayings
Come up with your own quirky and original sayings. People will take notice and it may even catch on. I. E Jun E!
  •  Leave Others Better Than You Found Them
Make it a habit to leave people in a better state then you found them. Happier, healthier, stronger, wealthier. This is a major way of being remarkable.
  • Help People Without Wanting Anything In Return
Volunteer to help other people out. Give some of your time, money or resources to help a fellow human being and expect absolutely nothing in return.
  • Don’t Try To Be Perfect
Be creative and abstract instead of trying to live up to other people’s expectation of perfect. You can achieve great and beautiful things without them living up to the general consensus of perfect.
  • Face Your Fears
People who avoid things because they are scared will never be remarkable. Face your fears and conquer them. Do you think Lance Armstrong would have been remarkable if he had given up cycling after he had cancer?
  • Take The Plunge
Be that person who does what others won’t do. If others are too scared to attempt something that you are not scared to do, just go out and do it with all your passion and energy.
  • Question The Norm
Just because something is done by millions of people around the world in a certain way does not mean it is the right or the only way to do something. Question the norm and don’t be afraid to do something differently.
  • Expose Yourself
Get up on stage or in front of people. Risk putting your ideas and creativity out in public, available for criticism and humiliation. What if Jay Z would have been to scared to perform in public and kept all his talent and art to himself in his basement?
  • Start Your Own Tribe
Be a leader instead of a follower. Build up a community or tribe of like minded people who will follow you and use your power to make a difference for the better in this world.
  • Say NO To Things
If something goes against your principles or you don’t really want it, say NO. You might risk offending some people, but most will respect you for having strong boundaries and sticking to them.
  • You Are Enough
Have the mindset that you have all the assets to be remarkable. You have talent and you have a gift. Share it with the world.
  • Be Optimistic
Optimism and smiles are contagious. Make the world a happy and positive place.
  • Be confident
Know what you want and be confident that you are going to get it. I think that all remarkable people share the trait of confidence.
  • Be Humble
Arrogance and vanity are not traits to associate with people you respect and think highly of. No matter how good, famous or wealthy you are, stay humble with both feet on the ground.
  • Create something that brings joy to other peoples lives
Art, a painting, a video clip, a film, a song, a poem, a book and so on and so forth. Be artistic and express your talent in a form that it can be shared with everyone without the expectation of getting rich from it. It’s your gift to the world.
  • Invent something that everyone needs
The disposable razor or a cigarette lighter for example. There could be one little thing that seems so simple yet will make the lives of millions of people so much easier.
  • Take something that works and make it better
The Japanese are pretty good at this. They took a normal train and change it into the fastest train in the world (bullet train). Take a normal and existing concept and make an exceptional change to it.
  • Start a movement
People look for a leader, someone who takes charge and takes initiative. Someone who has good intentions and wants to make a big change for the better. Be that leader and start a movement to change something that is not right in this world.
  • Fight for peace and freedom
All around the world there is so much unnecessary war and suffering. It seems impossible for one person to make a difference, but if everyone thinks like that, things will never change. Stop a war or change violent policies of a country and you will be remarkable.
  • Preserve our planet
Rainforests are being destroyed, species wiped out, oceans overfished and beautiful ecosystems perish. Make a difference and start a movement to do something about the destruction of our planet.
  • Help the hungry
There are so many people dying of hunger all around the world every single day. Do something to make a lasting difference. One idea I had was to get every person travelling on a plane to forfeit their meal for the hungry. A combined effort by all passengers would result in thousands of meals a day that could be given to hungry people all across the world.
  • Push the limits (break a record)
If you can do something that nobody else has been able to achieve, then you will not only get noticed but you will certainly be remarkable. You may just be the psychological inspiration for many others to get past the level that was always thought of as unbreakable.
  • Revolutionize an industry
Waltz into an industry or niche with a great idea or new perspective and put that idea in motion. If you can improve or revolutionize the way an entire industry does something then you are pretty remarkable.
  • Tell Compelling Stories
Stories are an amazing way to share knowledge and experiences with others. If you know how to create compelling and fun stories, you can make a big impact on the lives of others. That’s remarkable.
  • Think Better
Be a step ahead of everyone else. Think faster, better or more efficiently.
  • Read More Interesting Things
The more you read, the more you shape your personality. The more interesting things that you read, the more likely you are to become an interesting (and remarkable) person.
  • Don’t Be Boring
One requirement of being remarkable is that you are not boring. Be original, fun and get things done.
  • Stop Making Excuses
Either do something or don’t do it at all. Don’t be someone who always has excuses to stall doing something or justify why you didn’t do something.
  • Never Settle For Average
Never be content with average or mediocrity. When other people give up and settle, carry on going and be better than them.
  • Do What You Say
If people can rely on you and they know that when you say something that you will do it, you are well on your way to being remarkable. If you make a promise, keep it.
  • Don’t Aim To Be Remarkable
As contradictory as it sounds, most remarkable people never set out to be remarkable. They did what they loved and were really passionate and that is what got them to being remarkable.
  • Gimmicks Fade
What’s fashionable soon becomes unfashionable. While you might be remarkable for a time, if you don’t reinvest and reinvent, you won’t be for long. Instead of resting on your laurels, you must commit to being remarkable again quite soon.
